Kannapolis native and KCS alum, Kameron Marlowe, impressed the judges again on NBC's The Voice. He performed a solid rendition of the Hootie and the Blowfish song, "Only Want to Be With You," as part of a duet in the Battle round of the competition. His coach, Blake Shelton, selected Marlowe to advance in the competition. You can enjoy his performance in the video clip below:  



ORIGINAL STORY (September 25, 2018):
Kannapolis City Schools’ alum, Kameron Marlowe, wowed the judges and lit up the stage on NBC’s “The Voice.” Marlowe is a 2015 graduate of A.L. Brown High School. He went on to attend Catawba College and is pursuing a career in music.


Marlowe took a big step toward major career success when he auditioned for “The Voice” and got a standing ovation from Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson. The other judges on the show also were blown away by Marlowe’s performance. “You are good!” exclaimed Jennifer Hudson. All four judges praised his performance, and both Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton wanted Marlowe to join their teams. In the end, Marlowe chose Blake Shelton as his coach and will continue on the show.
