Thirteen students and one teacher assistant from Kannapolis City Schools have won honors in this year’s Young Authors contest. The competition was open to all public and private school students and adults in Cabarrus County.

 

The theme for this year’s Young Authors’ project was “Happily Ever After—What’s Your Story.” Students could submit poetry, prose, fiction or non-fiction entries. The winners will now take part in the state-level competition sponsored by the North Carolina Reading Association. Below are the winners from Kannapolis City Schools:
