KIS student wins Zucchini 500 as part of NC Science Festival

The event was part of the North Carolina Science Festival's annual celebration of Science around the state.

Randy designed and built his race car using zucchini and other vegetables. He competed against students from Cabarrus and Rowan Counties and won the competition for the 9- to 12-year-old age category. Randy is a student in Meredith Katz's class at KIS.
