The ongoing partnership between Kannapolis City Schools and Wayne Brothers, Incorporated has opened the door to success for three more KCS students. The students successfully completed a summer pre-apprenticeship program with Wayne Brothers.

The students took part in a graduation ceremony on August 9th at Wayne Brothers’ headquarters in Cabarrus County. The students are now eligible to receive free college tuition and free books for the next two years to continue their education. They also are guaranteed to have jobs with Wayne Brothers Incorporated.

The pre-apprenticeship program is part of a collaboration between Kannapolis City Schools and Wayne Brothers, Incorporated. Through the partnership, students from A.L. Brown High School enter a pre-apprenticeship program with the Wayne Brothers company. They learn all facets of the construction industry and gain valuable job skills. Once they complete the program, they are eligible to receive a free college education and are guaranteed a job at Wayne Brothers.

The pre-apprenticeship partnerhip began during the 2017-2018 school year and is continuing.
