Kannapolis City Schools is expanding its free summer lunch program. KCS will offer four sites this summer where children can get a free meal each Monday through Thursday. Last year, KCS offered three summer lunch locations. Prior to that, the district offered only one summer lunch site.  


The four summer lunch sites for 2017 are located throughout the community and will provide a free meal to anyone 18 years of age or younger (even children that do not attend Kannapolis City Schools). Adults 19 and older will be able to purchase meals. 


The four summer feeding sites are Woodrow Wilson Elementary School, A.L. Brown High School, Forest Park Elementary School, and the Kannapolis branch of the YMCA. Monday, June 19 through Thursday, August 3rd 
(Mondays-Thursdays)

A.L. Brown High School
(415 East First Street)

Forest Park Elementary School Cafeteria
(1333 Forest Park Drive)

Cannon Memorial YMCA 
(101 YMCA Drive)

Who:  
Free to anyone 18 years of age or younger

Adult Meals (Age 19 and older): Available for sale  
*Do not have to live in Kannapolis or attend KCS to be eligible.

Time:  
Lunch will be served 11:30 am- 1:00 pm Mondays-Thursday 
(Fridays-Closed)
