She is well-respected by everyone for her work ethic, dedication, and ability to serve those around her. She helps run Principal’s Advisory Council meetings and collects information from other student government officers on ways to improve the school. She has been actively involved in school organizations, including Anchor Club, BETA Club, National Honor Society, Peer Mentor, announcer for school news, and has served as a Junior Rotarian and Junior Marshall. Arionna will attend High Point University to study psychology where she has received a High Point Fellowship Scholarship along with a BEC community Impact Scholarship. She is active in Marable Memorial AME Zion Church and plays the drums there as well.

Patricia Ware:  Patricia Ware is a familiar face on A.L. Brown’s campus. Whether she is cheering on her son in athletic events or attending meetings as a parent representative, Ms. Ware is always known as a visible and active parent. She has been an outstanding member of the PTSO. Ms. Ware is a positive advocate for her son but also a positive advocate for other children whose parents might not be as involved. Her input is valuable and appreciated, and we hope that she will continue to be a helpful presence after her son graduates this year. She enjoys cooking, cheering on the athletes at football games and is an advocate for breast cancer research.

Matt Plummer:  Mr. Plummer has made an enormous impact as a Behavior Management Teacher Assistant. He has many of the more challenging students in terms of attendance and behavior, but he has successfully developed rapport with them and supports them academically and socially. Through his patience and perseverance, Mr. Plummer’s students are reaching their potential. He consistently checks on their academic status and frequently meets with them. He also does an excellent job of keeping regular education teachers, the exceptional children’s caseworker, and administration updated about his students’ progress. Mr. Plummer has not been afraid to try a variety of strategies to meet the needs of his students. He also has been involved in getting to know the school and community by attending numerous after-school events.
