As we approach the end of the school year, we in Kannapolis City Schools are reflecting on our accomplishments and evaluating the challenges that lie ahead.
We are very proud that 100% of our teachers have met the federal standard for being Highly Qualified. That accomplishment is a reflection of our commitment to making sure that every child in Kannapolis City Schools has a caring, competent teacher to guide instruction. We also are pleased that 100% of our teachers took part in the NC Teacher Working Conditions survey and that KCS was one of only 13 districts in the state to reach the 100% mark. It shows that our teachers care enough to share their thoughts on how to improve education in our state and district, and we pledge to use their feedback to make KCS an even better environment for our students and staff.
May is also the time when we measure how well our students are achieving. End of grade tests give us the chance to evaluate our students’ growth and measure our own progress as we move toward our vision of being a top 20 school district in North Carolina. We are committed to excellence in Kannapolis City Schools, and we thank you for your support of our students and staff. Together, we are creating the future and looking ahead to even more success in Kannapolis City Schools. |
