Using a VGA or HDMI Cable

To display VIDEO from your iPad 2 or later on your projector:
You will need either a VGA to iPad Connector or HDMI to iPad Connector. (30 pin for iPad 2, Lightning for Retina display and newer)

Connect the smaller end to your iPad

Connect the larger end to the blue Video Cable that is connected to your projector.

Turn on the iPad.  After a short delay, it will mirror on the projector.

IF for some reason it doesn't display, try disconnecting the cable from the iPad, waiting a few seconds and reconnecting it.

IF it still doesn't display, power down the iPad completely, then restart.

NOTE:  Sound does not come through this cable.  If you need additional volume, you will need to use the headphone port and connect to external speakers.

*iPad 2 or later and iPhone 4S support video output up to 1080p. iPad, iPhone 4, and iPod touch (4th generation) support video output up to 720p.  The original iPad does not have the ability to display through a projector.
