Kannapolis City Schools has earned statewide recognition for outstanding communications. KCS received a total of five Blue Ribbon Awards for communications excellence. The awards were presented by the North Carolina School Public Relations Association (NCSPRA) in Greensboro. NCSPRA recognizes outstanding communications through its Blue Ribbon Awards program.  

Kannapolis City Schools received three gold level awards for outstanding electronic media and video production. It also received Blue Ribbon awards for outstanding photography and social media engagement. 


NCSPRA President Todd Hagans, Executive Director of Community Relations & Communications for Gaston County Schools, said the work of the award winners was outstanding. "Blue Ribbon Awards are the highest honor in our organization, and I congratulate Kannapolis City Schools for gaining statewide recognition as a Blue Ribbon winner. These honors validate the superior work being done and recognize the outstanding efforts of Kannapolis City Schools to support and promote our public schools.”
