History of the School Health Nurse Program
Kannapolis City Schools are pleased to have a nurse in every school. The Cabarrus Health Alliance School Health Program was established in 1988 with two nurses to cover all the public schools. In 1999, the School Health Nurse Program expanded to a Nurse in Every School. Presently, there are 42 School Health Nurses serving the two school systems in Cabarrus County.
