Kannapolis City Schools value our academically and intellectually gifted students as diverse learners with individual needs. These students require identification and services that provide a rigorous and enriching academic experience, in an intellectually nurturing environment, that gives them the opportunity to attain their highest potential in a globally competitive society.

Our AIG services at A.L. Brown High School continue a strong program that has supported AIG students in the elementary, intermediate, and middle school grades in our Kannapolis City Schools. AIG students in high school receive services through their advanced (Honors and Advanced Placement-AP) classes. In addition, an AIG Facilitator is available to provide support for identified students in grades 9-12 that includes academic monitoring, social, and emotional support, enrichment opportunities and advisement among others. In addition, the AIG facilitator provides support and resources for those teachers of AIG students.
